It’s been forever since I’ve logged on here and blogged. Last post was back in June of 2014. I can’t believe it’s already 2015, last year literally flew by. I hope everyone has started off this year on the right foot.
I honestly didn’t know what to expect coming into this new year, outside of greatness happening. I know for certain I was determined to have a better year than last year. A lot of great things happened but it was a rough one for me personally.
A few days ago I got some news that was life changing. I can’t say much outside of God is amazing. I never thought I would have this opportunity presented to me. Since I’ve found out I have been in shock somewhat. It’s like a dream that I’m waiting to be woken up from.
For so long I’ve searched & at times scoured through life to find happiness, to find a direction, to find myself but I always came up empty handed. It wasn’t until my son was born until I felt like I had a solid purpose. I knew then my purpose in life was to be the best mother to my child. As much as I love being a mother, I still felt a void.
Cooking has been a part of me since I was a young kid. I went to culinary school in 2004 & even studied abroad in Peru for 3 months. I catered off & on for about 10 years but never really took my craft serious until this past year.
I woke up one morning & knew the kitchen is where I needed to be. It’s the one place I feel complete, no matter what kind of day I am having. It’s my zen, it’s my go to place when nothing else makes sense. Since I’ve stepped back in the kitchen amazing things started to happen. I don’t want to spoil the surprise…so STAY TUNED!!!
Before I go I just want to say thank you to ALL my readers that support my blog. I will always be SXYVEE but it’s time to manifest into CHEF VEEZY!!!
